What I'm Reading: All It Takes Is A Goal by Jon Acuff
I love to read. I try to read every day. I enjoy fiction, but my favorite genre is non-fiction. I love to read books that help me get better at stuff and teach me new things. But my most favorite of all are books that show me a new way to look at or think about something that has gotten too familiar.
I have been a long-time fan of Jon Acuff as both an author and a speaker for years. I am a part of his Guaranteed Goals Community and have read most of his books and heard him speak many, many times. When I joined the Launch Team and received my advanced copy of his latest book, All It Takes Is A Goal, I was confident that I knew what I would find inside, and I was looking forward to the refresher.
This book blew away all my expectations!
Even though I had an idea of what would be in this book, I still finished it feeling as though I was holding a cheat code in my hand. A helpful, usable cheat code.
When an author or a speaker is full of great ideas but fails to provide any practical steps to making those ideas a reality, I struggle. I get aggravated that I now have all these ideas in my head with no clue as to how to implement them.
This book feels like a cheat code because it is a step-by-step guide to achieving your goals...guaranteed.
Want to declutter your house, get in shape, write a book, start a business, learn to knit???
Anything you want to do, you can do by following the steps and the plan laid out in this book.
I know, because I've been working on several goals this year, and have made amazing progress on many of them already by using the steps and techniques I learned in this book and through the Guaranteed Goals Community.
This book has carved out a place on my Mount Rushmore of all-time favorites, and I will probably re-read it several times. I absolutely loved it.
